The bar is never just a bar, it’s an experience, a talking point and often the place where the energy of the day really comes to life. That’s exactly what we set out to deliver for WedPros Live London 2026, hosted by Becca Poutney. With our mobile pop up cocktail bar set up ready to close out the day with a bespoke Becca cocktail, the excitement was rising through the day. This event was the perfect example of how bespoke cocktails and branded drinks can elevate weddings and corporate and industry events.
Becca had a very clear vision from the start. She is known for being pink, sparkly and full of personality, and she wanted a signature cocktail that captured that feeling to close her first conference on a high. She also knew she liked gin! To make that happen, she and her content creator Simona visited us at Sip & Swig HQ in Stratford-upon-Avon. It was a proper hands-on session, not just choosing from a menu but building something from scratch. We tested different spirits, even nearly converting Becca to Tequila, played with flavour combinations, adjusted balance and talked through presentation in detail, right down to the glassware and how the drink would look in photos as well as in hand. Becca had a go at shaking her cocktails but it was fair to say, she knew she would leave it to us on the day!
What we created together was the Becca Cocktail, even deserving of its own name! Made with our very own Blushing Stag Pink Gin. It had a soft pink colour with a shimmer running through, served in a tall glass so you could see that shimmer moving as the drink was poured and carried. It felt like a natural extension of her brand rather than just a drink on a bar, which is always the goal with bespoke cocktails. When it is done right, it becomes part of the identity of the event and something guests remember long after the day.
The Wed Pros Live event itself was held at Royal Horseguards Hotel London, where a range of wedding professionals and suppliers gathered. There were speakers even flown in the America with the very best there to deliver value and high impact business education. Whilst we did not get much chance to step away from the bar and watch the talks, it was clear from the atmosphere and conversations how much value people were getting from it. Becca also built in a follow-up session a month later to help attendees actually implement what they had learned, which says a lot about the intention behind the event.
Behind the scenes, it was one of those days that really tested us. The day before, our van broke down and we had to quickly find an alternative, ending up with an electric van which was new territory for us. Charging it and getting everything loaded took longer than expected even with a 4am alarm, we were delayed again with traffic heading into London. When we arrived, there wasn’t any van parking but the venue team helped us find a solution. The goods lift was out of order, so every piece of kit, every glass and the full bar setup had to go up in the tiny vintage public lifts!! On top of that, one of our team’s train was delayed and then cancelled! We received a call midday to say our son had chickenpox and needed collecting from school. Thankfully, family stepped in to help with that one!
By the time we got to service, it was not as slick as we would usually expect from ourselves. The bar was not as tidy as we like to keep it and there were queues that we would normally work hard to avoid. Being surrounded by other wedding professionals made that even more noticeable for us, and we were genuinely disappointed not to be showing our absolute best in that moment. That said, the feedback on the cocktail itself was exactly what we had hoped for. Guests loved the flavour, the look and the overall concept, and it still created the moment Becca wanted for the end of her event.
A big thank you goes to Simona, who stepped in and supported the bar when we needed it most.
For us, this event was a reminder of why bespoke cocktails work so well for weddings and events. They bring personality into the drinks, they create a visual focal point and they give guests something a bit more considered. Even on a challenging day, the quality of the drink and the thought behind it still carried through, which is something we never compromise on. Everything is made fresh, using premium ingredients, and built with care rather than shortcuts.
As a family run mobile cocktail bar, we care a lot about how each event feels, not just how it looks on paper. We have learnt to have more back up plans in place!! Wed Pros Live was a brilliant event to be part of and we are grateful to have been involved. We would definitely recommend Wed Pros Live 2027!
