We love to work here with no event the same from a Tipi on the lawn for a 40th birthday to an intimate small wedding in the galleries. Compton Verney has a fascinating history with the estate being acquired in 1435 by the Verney family who began building the Manor House 1442, with major renovations and redesigns over the years until 1912 when the 19th Baron had to sell it due to financial pressures. It passed through several owners until it was brought by the Peter Moores Foundation in 1993. £45million was invested into the restoration to transform the derelict Georgian Mansion at Compton Verney in to an art gallery and destination before it was open to the public in 2004.
The rich history and influences since the Saxon period give the Grade I-listed Georgian Manor House and 120 acres of Grade II-listed Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown parkland the most extraordinary setting for any event!
Compton Verney offers a range of spaces for weddings and events. From a service in the on site private chapel with intricate plaster and marble work adorning the walls and ceilings. To a marquee or Tipi within the 120 acres of landscaped parkland. Perhaps a dinner within the Naples Gallery or a party within the spectacular Adam Hall. Compton Verney is even a space for festival style weddings and large scale events.
